               California State Shoot 2008 Camping

                                            June 18th – 29th .

 STATE SHOOT CAMPERS

The gate will be opened at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18th 2008.  For those of you that don’t have reservations, the camping is first come first serve and the daily fees are $10.00 a day.  Once you have a camping space you can reserve it for the next year. If you arrive earlier than Wed. June 18th all the gates to camping will be closed or barricaded, please park in the camping area at the east end of the club (traps 20-32).  There will be a sign up sheet there to keep you in order as you come in.

The River camping inside the gate has nine (7) spaces open, the Hole camping is full and the Desert camping is open. No dogs allowed in the River or Hole camping areas. Those that do have reservations, don’t wait too long to arrive so that you can’t get your trailer in its space, this is your responsibility.  This year all campers will be required to sign a waver of liability.  Reserved campers:  If you arrive earlier than Wed. June 18th all the gates to camping will be closed or barricaded, please park in the camping area at the east end of the club (traps 20-32), you will be let in first.  NOTICE: This year you may reserve the camp site you have for the next year 2009 for $125.00.  This fee must be paid for no later than Friday 27th this year at the state shoot.  If your space is not paid for on or before this date you will loose your camping space for the next year to the next one in line.  There will be a “CAMPING RESERVATIONS” booth in front of the C.G.S.T.A. building where you can pay your reservations.

If you can’t make the shoot you have up to June 1st 2009 for a refund or you may call me to transfer your name to another shooter and reimbursement payment will be between the two of you.   I will give you my number at the time you pay for the site. This will continue on for the next year.

The club doesn’t have power or water hookups for camping.  Campers are not to tap or plug into any electrical power at any time anywhere on the premises.  The water faucets are few and far between; please fill your trailer’s water tank before you arrive.       For those camping inside the gate, please turn off your generators and keep the noise down by 10:00 p.m. so not to bother others. Campers in the hole behind the maintenance shop are allowed to run their generators 24 hours a day as long as they run quietly.

Curfew’s 10:00 p.m. for children under the age of 18 years of age and aren’t allowed to be out on the grounds without parent supervision.

Club members working the state shoot for the week may camp and are required to pay the camping fees.

S.C.T.P. SHOOTERS AND CAMPERS

You may arrive on Friday 20th for your one night free camping. If you would like to arrive earlier or stay longer, the fees are $10.00 a night.  Please camp and park at the east end of the club. This is traps 20-32. There will be parking assistants there to help you. If you are not camping you may park in the rife range just west of the east camping area. Do not park in the front camping areas known as the Hole and the Inside Gate Camping.  These camping areas are for week long State Shoot campers.

DOGS

The past few years, the club has looked the other way with campers having dogs on the grounds.  Because of the complaints we have had in the past couple of years about messes left by the dogs, and dogs being allowed at the shoot when it is stated in the CGSTA book for the State Shoot, that “the club doesn’t allow dogs”, we will be enforcing this rule starting this year.  If at all possible, it would be appreciated that campers with dogs would make other arrangements for them during this week of shooting.  If you have dogs with you, you are to camp at the east end of the club (traps 20-32) and to walk and keep them confined in that area.  All dogs are to be on a leash any time that they’re outside your camper and we ask that you clean up after them.  Dogs are not to be walked around the club house, lunch area, beach, shooting line or the other camping areas at any time. There is no camping with dogs inside the gate or in the hole east of the club’s maintenance shop.

GOLF CARTS

Private golf carts or scooters of any kind are not allowed at the State Shoot.  Only golf carts rented by the club for the State Shoot will be allowed.

CLUB MEMBERS

The grounds and boating are closed to all members and their families during the state shoot.  Boats are not to be launched elsewhere and beached any time at the club’s beach during the state shoot.
