Hi everybody! We all know what time of year it is and we are going to be getting very busy around the club in the next two months. As the State Shoot approaches, member help will be needed in all areas for the workdays as well as during the shoot. Let’s all pull together and make this year’s State Shoot another great one! To keep members informed and organized there will be a membership meeting on Sunday, May 20 @ 1:00 PM regarding the State Shoot. The schedule from last month’s newsletter shows a potluck, but there will be no potluck, only the meeting.
The social committee is back and ready to go as we celebrate the season with a “Spring Fling” dance. I know that everyone is soo excited right?! The dance will be Friday, May 18, from 8:00 PM – midnight. A great Country Western/Rock band, Mother Girth, will be playing. Members will not need a ticket to get in the gate but tickets are available for member’s guests. If you need tickets they will be available Tuesday, May 15, at the KGC grill. Just ask Leslie Strand or myself. Members who attend are asked to bring an hors d’oeuvre.
There are workdays scheduled for every Saturday until the shoot. This Saturday, May 12, member help will be needed on the new shop. Terry Horstman is heading up this project and if you would like to help please report to the club @ 8:00 AM.
Saturday, May 19, member help will be needed again on the new shed, but Brad Jones also needs help clearing brush as they trim back trees. If you would like to help with either of these projects, please report to the club @ 8:00 AM.
Dan Boucher has asked for volunteers to help with parking cars on Friday, June 15 - 16, for the SCTP Juniors Shoot. If anyone is interested you can reach him @ 355-6824.
Just a friendly reminder that whenever anyone has a function on the grounds, please be sure to clean up the area that was used.
The 2007 NRA Dinner was a great success and President Bret would like to thank everyone for their help and support.
